Actually, I didn’t find the beaches in French Polynesia to be all that great compared to many Caribbean islands (I haven’t been to Fiji). Most of them seemed to be crushed coral beaches (at least in the Society Islands, I haven’t been to the other island groups) which were a bit difficult to walk on with bare feet. Snorkeling was better in Belize IMO. There are however many more luxury options in FP.
