Magellan Crime explorer TELEVISION REVIEW

With over 1,500 high-quality, ad-free movies and series from some of the world’s best filmmakers, MagellanTV will quickly become your new favorite streaming service. It’s a one-stop-shop for learning something new and staying entertained all the while. There are even exclusive playlists ready to watch that dive deep into the people and events that shaped our world. MagellanTV offers documentary collections that are deeper and broader than just about any other streaming service available. It’s the place to dive deep into shows about war, ancient history, science and technology, crime, and culture.

There is no button for this, and clicking on the left or right part of the screen does nothing. A very annoying problem with a relatively easy solution I’d think. When I tried to upgrade on my iPad, each and every single freaking time the app crashed. Then I came back to my iPad and downloaded several documentaries. But each time I try to play one, I get an error message that says that the video can’t be played. That renders this app utterly and absolutely worthless, as far as I’m concerned.

I had no trouble downloading and signing in to the MagellanTV app on my iPhone running iOS 14.4. The mobile interface looks just like the website, with a dark background and colored thumbnails. I like the Related Content section on each video’s landing page that recommends other films and episodes based on the content’s genre. I provided my account and payment details, chose a plan, and immediately got access to MagellanTV’s free trial period. To easily understand the videos you are watching, Magellan TV offers you English, Portuguese, and Espanol subtitles.

For comparison, Editors’ Choice winner Kanopy is free as long as you have a library card or a valid university email address. Both CuriosityStream and PBS Documentaries undercut MagellanTV’s price at $ 2.99 and $ 3.99 per month, respectively. However, you have to pay for the CuriosityStream monthly plan at $ 9.99 if you want to get 4K content from this service. Kanopy is an on-demand streaming service for libraries and universities. It offers both films and documentaries, most of which are classic films.

Netflix continues to be our Editor’s Choice winner for on-demand streaming video with its robust library of originals and films. Hulu is also a great option for combining a huge on-demand library and live TV. CuriosityStream and Kanopy are both the editors’ choice for the plethora of documentary content they offer at an affordable kaaval movie wiki price.
