Andrew grew up in Johannesburg since the age of three and began modelling at the age of sixteen. Little did he realise, that he would soon become Mr. South Africa when he won the event in 2012. Since then, Andrew has gone on to model for several brands but also make the transition to acting, appearing in the local drama series High Rollers on SABC3.

Andrew Govender is an Indian Actor and Model, who was born in South Africa. In 2012, he won the title of Mr. South Africa making him the first Indian to win this title in over 30 years. He later went on to represent his country at the prestigious Mr World competition held in England. With his charismatic presence, Andrew Govender- an Actuarial Analyst by profession- won the hearts of thousands as he was announced Mr.South Africa 2012 in March this year.
